Michelle Simoneau Mill RN, LAc

Michelle Simoneau MillMichelle’s experience with acupuncture has come full circle! In 2008, Michelle was suffering from neck pain, anxiety, and insomnia and decided to try acupuncture for the first time. Fortunately, her acupuncturist was Julie Hutsell-Starling! Under Julie’s care, her health greatly improved. Michelle was so impressed and fascinated by acupuncture and Chinese Medicine that she decided she wanted to pursue this as a career. After four years of acupuncture school and thousands of hours of studying, Michelle is now a Licensed Acupuncturist joining her inspiration and mentor Julie Hutsell-Starling at Exponential Wellness.

Education/Experience

Michelle received a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from UNC Chapel Hill and was a critical care nurse and a heart transplant coordinator at UNC for 10 years. She was then a stay at home mom for her two children. Inspired by Julie to embark on a new career in acupuncture, she went back to school in 2012. In 2016 she completed a four-year Master’s degree in Acupuncture at Jung Tao School of Acupuncture and Classical Chinese Medicine. In addition to being a North Carolina Licensed Acupuncturist, Michelle is also a Diplomat of Acupuncture awarded by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). In spring of 2017, she opened a part-time practice in Durham at Restoring Balance Integrative Health.
